With 18 years of dedicated experience as a full-time Marriage and Funeral celebrant, my passion for this industry remains as strong as ever. Whether it’s the joy and excitement of a couple’s special day or the privilege of crafting a meaningful farewell for a grieving family, each moment holds its own unique reward.

Throughout my career, I’ve embraced diverse ventures, from being a self-employed sales and marketing consultant to managing prestigious products as a Queensland retail and wholesale agent. Alongside these roles, I’ve even owned two hair and beauty salons—despite not being a hairdresser myself! My journey has also encompassed corporate training and assessment, which has greatly influenced my approach to leading Celebrant OPD sessions over the past eight years.

I find tremendous fulfillment in facilitating these sessions, whether face-to-face or via Zoom, across Australia. I believe in creating an environment where learning new skills, networking with peers, and sharing collective knowledge can be enjoyable and enriching. Join us for one of our Professional Development or AGD OPD workshops to enhance your skills, connect with like-minded professionals, and discover the joy of continuous learning in a supportive setting.

I have been a celebrant since 1995, and from that day it has been the best thing I have ever done.

So achieving the Cert IV in Training and Assessment allowed me to share my knowledge and experience in a way I never thought possible. Whether training OPD either on Zoom or distance, or the Celebrant Course, the satisfaction of watching others, either experiencing, or about to experience, the celebrant world is very satisfying

My background is sales and I have owned my own business in the retail industry, giving myself an extremely extensive background in all facets of running a business successfully. Being a celebrant is no different, you must be very organized, very professional so you can give your couples everything they expect from you and more.

Most importantly, just be yourself and all else will follow.

Training on zoom, as we do, allows us to share our own experiences with other celebrants as many celebrants do not have the luxury of having a celebrant network simply to communicate with other celebrants which offers you confidence heading forward.

I always say if you just learn one thing it has all been worth it, and there are no silly questions, that is how we learn and I look forward to sharing and learning with you.
