With 18 years of dedicated experience as a full-time Marriage and Funeral Celebrant and End-of-Life Doula, my passion for these meaningful roles remains as strong as ever. Whether it’s the joy of celebrating a couple’s special day, the honour of creating a heartfelt farewell for a grieving family, or the privilege of supporting someone on their end-of-life journey, each moment offers its own unique and profound reward.
My professional path has been diverse and dynamic. I’ve worked as a self-employed sales and marketing consultant, managed high-end products as a Queensland retail and wholesale agent, and even owned two hair and beauty salons—despite not being a hairdresser myself! I’ve also been deeply involved in corporate training and assessment, which has significantly shaped my approach to delivering professional development over the past eight years.
I take great pride in facilitating engaging and practical training sessions—whether in person, via Zoom, or through online course assessments—across Australia. I’m passionate about creating learning environments where participants feel inspired, supported, and connected. My goal is to ensure every session is informative, enjoyable, and rich in shared experience.
Join us for one of our OPD Workshops, AGD sessions, Zoom courses or online training opportunities to enhance your skills, connect with like-minded professionals, and embrace the rewards of lifelong learning in a welcoming and professional setting.

With over 20 years experience, Sue has an intuitive ability to provide mentoring on many celebrant’s ceremony requirements or just ‘throw it out there’ ideas. Sue’s unique blend of professionalism and down-to-earth practicality, means she puts people at ease whilst demonstrating a capable, reassuring style. Her listening ear and willingness to go above and beyond is strengthened by an attention to detail that leaves little to chance.
Sue has a background in all aspects of celebrant OPD and face to face group training. Which all sounds very official but Sue’s main message to any interested parties is that she is more than willing to pay forward her many years of experience and share with you her love for celebrancy while having a smile and a laugh.

I have been a celebrant since 1995, and from that day it has been the best thing I have ever done.
So achieving the Cert IV in Training and Assessment allowed me to share my knowledge and experience in a way I never thought possible. Whether training OPD either on Zoom or distance, or the Celebrant Course, the satisfaction of watching others, either experiencing, or about to experience, the celebrant world is very satisfying
My background is sales and I have owned my own business in the retail industry, giving myself an extremely extensive background in all facets of running a business successfully. Being a celebrant is no different, you must be very organized, very professional so you can give your couples everything they expect from you and more.
Most importantly, just be yourself and all else will follow.
Training on zoom, as we do, allows us to share our own experiences with other celebrants as many celebrants do not have the luxury of having a celebrant network simply to communicate with other celebrants which offers you confidence heading forward.
I always say if you just learn one thing it has all been worth it, and there are no silly questions, that is how we learn and I look forward to sharing and learning with you.
